town

Castiglion Fiorentino (AR) is a beautiful, unspoilt tuscan hilltown, halfway between Rome and Florence. It is large enough to have a choice of cafes and restaurants, but small enough to be overlooked by most tourist guides.

The town is situated close to the major North-South road in Italy (the A1) and is on the main train line between Rome and Florence.

This is a great base to explore central Tuscany (Florence, Cortona, Siena, Montalcino, Arezzo, Pienza, Assisi) or to head across into Umbria (Perugia, Citta di Castello, Orvieto).

There are dozens of less travelled smaller towns nearby or you can stay put and live like a local!
